Change in How You Access Banner

All browsers with the exception of Internet Explorer and Safari will no longer support the Java plugin as of March 2017. Banner uses a Java plugin.  If you use anything other than Internet Explorer or Safari to access Banner, you will need to use the "Banner (Browserless)" link to access Banner starting in March. You can find this link in the Online Services box on InsideSOU or under the Start Menu on your windows desktop.

If you get a security warning window "Running this application may be a security risk", check the "I accept the risk and want to run this application" and then click on the Run button.

The "Banner (Browserless)" link requires you to enter your Banner username and password.  The username is usually the same as your network password but if you have been at SOU for a long time, this may not be true.  Your Banner password is not the same as your network password unless you have specifically set them the same.  If you do not remember your Banner password, use the "Manage Your Banner Password" link in the top right corner of InsideSOU to reset your Banner password.

This change only impacts Banner.  Banner Self-Service (aka SISWeb) is not impacted.
