Uninstalling ownCloud on Apple Macintosh OS X

To uninstall the ownCloud Client on Apple Macintosh OS, follow these steps:

  1. Go to Apple Menu...System Preferences...Users & Groups...Login Items.  Highlight souowncloud (it may be listed just as owncloud as well) and click the Minus button at the bottom of the window.

  2. Go to your computer's Applications folder and move owncloud.app to the Trash

  3. Go to your personal Library folder by selecting Go in the Menu and Go to Folder...  Type in ~/library and click Go.

  4. In your Library folder, delete the following files and folders if they are present:
    a. Go to the Application Support folder. In there, delete the com.owncloud folder (may also be called SOU ownCloud)
    b. Go to the Preferences folder. In there, delete the com.owncloud.plist file
    c. Go to the Caches folder. In there, delete the com.owncloud folder
