Moodle Log-in Changes

Authors list

Logging into Moodle is quicker and easier! Now you can access your Moodle courses by clicking on the Moodle icon in My SOU. You can also access Moodle by going directly to http://moodle.sou.edu and clicking on the link labeled "SOU Account Login."

Moodle has joined the list of applications supported by "Shibboleth" technology (e.g., SOU Gmail, MySOU, and MyFiles 360). Once you are logged into any of these programs, you can access any other Shibboleth-enabled program without having to re-enter your user ID and password as long as you are using the same browser.

If you experience difficulty logging in to Moodle:

  1. Check that you are not already logged in—do you see your name in the upper right corner of the Moodle home page?
  2. Remember, if you access Moodle from My SOU, you do not need to click on the login link in Moodleyou're already logged in.
  3. If you were logged into Gmail when you opened Moodle, you may already be logged in.
  4. If you are trying to access your courses from bookmarks, close all browser sessions, open Firefox, and try logging in again from either My SOU or http://moodle.sou.edu.
If you continue to have trouble, please log in here in the fields provided on the left and submit a help ticket.
