Accessing SOU Gmail on your iOS device (iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad)

To configure the Mail app on an Apple device for access to SOU Gmail, just follow these steps:

 

  • Open the Google Accounts button on your device.

  • Select Add another account.

  • Tap Google.
    • Picture of Gmail asking about the type of email account you want to setup with the google option highlighted.
  • Enter your SOU account information, being sure to use your full SOU Gmail address, including '@sou.edu'.
    • Picture of the google sign in page on iOS.
  • Sign into your SOU account.
    • Picture of the SOU Login page with the username being asked for and a next button under the aforementioned field name. Under that there are a few options such as unlock account and help.
  • And you're done.
